Constituted under the Andhra Pradesh Charitable and Hindu Religious Institutions Endowments Act, 1987.
The Hindu Dharma Parirakshana Trust (HDPT) was constituted on 19 November 2010 under the direction of the State Government, with the principal objective to propagate, promote and popularize Hindu Dharma, Hindu religion, Hindu philosophy and the study of the Vedas and Upanishads in society.
Headquartered on the Krishna river side at Sitanagaram, Guntur — 522 501, HDPT works with Peethadhipatis, temples, scholars and volunteers across every district of Andhra Pradesh.
